Mclane Boutique Hotel (Marketlane Boutique Hotel (PG0423294-H)) is committed to protecting your privacy and all your personal information such as your name, telephone numbers, email address, etc., that is considered as private and confidential. We collect only necessary information required about you and only with your express authorization. We never share any information with any third party or individual outside our company without your approval.

 

At our Hotel, we stress the importance of privacy and are committed to earning your trust by adopting high standards for the protection of personal information. Our policy is in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”) and outlines the type of personal information we collect and receive, the circumstances in which we collect or receive personal information, the policies and procedures we have established outlining its use and storage, and for sharing certain types of personal information in certain limited circumstances, the procedures you should follow if you have any questions or requests in respect of your personal information or our policies and procedures and the person to whom such questions or requests should be directed to, and the means by which to communicate with that person.

 

In this policy, personal information means information about you that is personally identifiable such as your name, address, e-mail address or phone number, and that is not otherwise publicly available and is not part of your work identification. It also includes information on guest preferences and usage, when such information is supplied to or recorded our Hotel in the course of transacting business with an individual.

 

HOW PERSONAL INFORMATION IS COLLECTED BY OUR HOTEL

 

By making a reservation at or by using any of the facilities and/or services of our Hotel.

By registering with our Hotel’s loyalty programme.

By providing it to us in communications regarding service delivery such as surveys and comment cards.

By providing the information to us by participating in a marketing initiative.

By visiting our website or social media websites and completing the online e-Newsletter request form.

Below are further details on how the information in collected in the circumstances set out above and how it will be used and stored.

 

MAKING A RESERVATION

 

When making a reservation or using any of the services of our Hotel, it is necessary for us to have your information in order to identify you, contact you and to process your purchase and requests. This information may include your name, age, gender, NRIC or Passport details, residential address, phone number, e-mail address, credit card number and expiration date, language preference etc. It may also include, if you choose to share that information with us, your preferences regarding the delivery of your service such as type of room, type of bed, etc.

 

You may also wish to have your purchase of our Hotel’s services recognized by a third party’s loyalty programme with which our Hotel is affiliated with. To do so will require you to provide us certain verification information such as your membership number in the third-party programme. We may also offer special discounts from time to time which have qualifying criteria, for example, special offers to senior citizens or for children. To assess your eligibility and process your reservation correctly, we would need to record your date of birth at the time of booking and you may be required to provide personal identification to verify this upon check-in.

 

From time to time, we offer packages or other services that involve third parties. If you have subscribed to such a package or service, your personal information will be shared with that third party to the extent necessary to provide that service and process the purchase or request.

 

Our Hotel may use the information you provide to send you offers and information about the Hotel’s services and those of select third parties. Your information will not be given to these third parties but rather the offer of the third party will be provided to our Hotel which will manage the distribution. If you do not wish to receive such offers and information you may unsubscribe or opt-out by sending an email to mclanehotel@gmail.com, using the subject line “Unsubscribe”, so indicating your request, with sufficient personal identifiers so we can appropriately act on your request. All our marketing communication of this type will also contain instructions for unsubscribing.


BOOKING POLICIES

CHILDREN

The Hotel allows a child up to 12 years of age to stay for free using the existing bedding. Baby cribs are upon request and subject to availability. Individuals above the age of 12 are considered as adults by the Hotel.

 

EXTRA BEDDING

For Superior and Deluxe Rooms, an extra bed for a third occupant is allowed and is chargeable from RM50 per night excluding breakfast, unless stated in the specific rate plan. The charge will automatically be included upon selection of more than 2 adults during reservation.

 

REQUESTS

All requests entered into the ‘Requests’ box on the Hotel website booking engine are subject to availability and the Hotel bears no responsibility should it be unable to fulfill certain requests.

 

ROOM OCCUPANCY

The total number of occupants in a room, including children, shall not exceed the maximum number of occupants permitted for the respective room types:

Superior Room                                        : up to 3 persons

Deluxe Room                                          : up to 3 persons

If there is any questions or clarifications regarding the Hotel’s Maximum Occupancy Policy, our staff will be happy to explain in detail. Please note that the Hotel reserves the right to refuse entry to any additional guest exceeding the maximum occupancy allowed for that room type.

 

 

CHECK IN/ CHECK OUT POLICIES

AGE REQUIREMENT

Guests must be 18 years or older with photo identification to check-in. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The Hotel reserves the right to check photo identification.

 

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT

Unless otherwise stated in the specific rate plan terms & conditions, check-in time is after 2 p.m. and check-out time is 12 p.m. Early check in or check out request can be done depending on the day availability of room. The Hotel may accommodate late check-out after 12 p.m. for an additional fees (before 5pm with RM50 charges; One day room rate after 5pm); subject to room availability.

 

 

GENERAL POLICIES

DAMAGE TO HOTEL PROPERTY

The Hotel reserves the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage or soiling, caused by accidental, deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the Hotel’s property or structure.

 

SAFE DEPOSIT BOX

Guests are encouraged to keep their valuables in safe box of guestroom. The Hotel shall not be liable for any loss of money or other personal valuables during guest stay.

 

PROHIBITED ITEMS

The following items are not permitted in the Hotel premises:

Pets or animals of any kind.

Mangosteen or Durians.

Flammable, explosive or otherwise hazardous materials

Objects emitting a foul odour

Unregistered firearms or other weapons

Objects of an unusually large size or in unusually large quantities

Articles related to use in gambling, prostitution, smuggling or other Illegal acts

Illegal drugs or other articles, the possession of which is prohibited by the laws of Malaysia.

The Hotel reserves the right to refuse entry to any guest found to be in possession of prohibited items. Guests shall be solely liable and responsible for all loss financial or otherwise, and damage that may be caused by such items.

 

VISITORS

In the interest of guest well-being and security, visitors are required to register at the Front Desk and are requested to leave guestrooms by 11.00 p.m.

 

 

HEALTH AND WELL-BEING POLICIES

EXCESSIVE NOISE AND PARTIES

To ensure all guests enjoy comfort and safety of our facilities that we offer, the Hotel upholds a strict zero tolerance policy towards commotion, excessive noise and parties. Whoever found to be on our premises creating excessive noise, having a party, exceeding the numbers of permitted guests or otherwise causing a disturbance will be requested to leave the hotel without refund.

 

INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR

Should any action by a guest, may it be towards our staff or otherwise, be deemed inappropriate by the Hotel, or if any inappropriate behaviour is brought to attention, the Hotel reserves the right, after the allegations have been investigated, to take action against the guest which may result in, but not limited to, being asked to leave without a refund for any services incurred.

 

SMOKING

The Hotel has only non-smoking rooms. ​Smoking is not permitted within areas of the Hotel. There will be a RM500 fee for thorough cleaning services charged to any non-smoking room that has been smoked in to restore it back to its original condition.

 

 

PAYMENT POLICIES

CURRENCY AND TAX

Rates are in RINGGIT MALAYSIA (MYR).

All rates quoted are subject to prevailing government taxes. Taxes, levies or charges subject to change in accordance with the Malaysian Government legislation.

 

As of September 1, 2017, hotel guests are subject to the Malaysia Tourism Tax of 10 MYR per room per night in accordance with the Tourism Tax Act of 2017. This tax is payable at the hotel. Malaysian nationals and permanent residents holding MyPR cards are exempted. All rates quoted are subject to prevailing government taxes. Taxes, levies or charges are subject to change in accordance with the Malaysian Government legislation.

 

As of June 1, 2014, hotel guests are subject to the Heritage Tax of 2 MYR per room per night in accordance with the Local Government . This tax is payable at the hotel. CREDIT CARD PRE-AUTHORISATION

If credit card is used to guarantee room reservation, the Hotel may hold an amount on credit card prior to arrival. For non-refundable bookings, prepayment will be charged to card prior to the guest arrival.

 

DEPOSITS

ROOM CHARGES

For online bookings made through the Hotel website, unless stated in individual rate plan terms and conditions, a deposit equivalent to the first night room charge shall be deducted from the credit card upon completion of booking. No refund shall be made if reservation is cancelled or modified within 48 hours prior to check-in date.

Unless full length of stay has been prepaid, the Hotel requires a deposit for remaining room charges upon check-in.

 

INCIDENTAL CHARGES

For all reservations, the Hotel requires a deposit of RM100 for incidental charges upon check-in. Deposit may be placed in cash at check-in time.

 

THIRD-PARTY BOOKING SOURCES

In the case of cancellation or modifications to reservations made through sources other than directly with the Hotel or the Hotel website, the Hotel recommends that guests first contact their source of booking for assistance before approaching Hotel staff.

The Hotel reserves the right to add to, alter or amend any of the above terms, conditions and rules as and when it deems necessary.
